Mysterious buses are coming to your town . . . bringing teams of people who want to help you impact your city with the Love of Jesus!  This summer, we are partnering with individuals and groups to put on concerts, music fests, outreaches, ministry workshops, prayer meetings, and drum circles throughout the heartland.  We are joining local believers who have the heart to do such an event for their city and who would benefit from having a

  • special forces
  • team to not only help bring in bands and assist with promotion, but also bring in a whole convoy of crazy buses and ministry teams for their event.  What a great opportunity to activate Christians to
  • get out of the pews
  • and onto the streets!

    Detailed Schedule
  •     The tour begins:, Nashville, TN May 24-28, The Convergence
We will be gathering in Joelton, TN, on Eagles Landing, just North of Nashville for a campout and two days of around the clock prayer, worship, and fasting.  Beans and rice, (and Jesus Christ) will be the staple food during the campout.  However, you are welcome to bring your own food if you're not fasting.  Pure Life Revolution (check out www.TheConvergence.net) will be taking place on the streets of Nashville, and we will have the fourth annual Freedom in the River music festival at Centennial Park, on Sunday May 28th.

  •     First stop: Carbondale, IL on May 30-31
We will have outreaches all over Carbondale on Tuesday and Wednesday.  If you have an idea, feel free to organize an outreach.  We will get together on the 30th, Tuesday evening, (site to be announced) for a night of prayer and worship, getting ready for a free music festival to be held Wednesday evening, at Turley Park.

  •     Second Stop: Saint Louis, MO June 1-4
Thursday, June 1 we will gather at Victory Church/Int'l House of Prayer for a night of prayer, worship, and ministry training.  Friday Night we will go out all over St. Louis
  • from the Landing to the Loop
  • .  Again, if you've got an outreach idea for St. Louis, we want to hear about it!  Saturday we will set up in Tower Grove Park for a free music festival.  Sunday is the official Global Day of Prayer, talk about cool timing.  For directions to Victory call 314-Victory.

  •     Third stop: Kansas City, MO June 6-7
We will recharge our batteries at I.H.O.P. (International House of Prayer), in Kansas City.  Time to soak up the sweet syrup of the Lord!!!

  •     Fourth Stop: Lawrence, KS June 8-11 Wakarusa Music Festival,
This secular jam-band event that is quickly becoming the premier festival in Kansas, is our destination.  We will be thinking of some creative ideas of how to share our faith and love with this remarkable American sub-culture.  Check out the disclaimer at the end of the article...

  •     Fifth Stop: Clay Center, KS June 17th The Little Festival on the Prairie
Come on down the yellow brick road as we invade the small town of Clay Center with the Big Love of Jesus.  We know we'll be making a big scene here with the buses, bands, and our mobile coffee bar, bringing out teens and college kids who are anxious for a little excitement.

  •     Sixth Stop: June 23 through July 6th Colorado National Rainbow Gathering
This will probably be the most shockingly different part of the journey, as going to a Gathering is like entering an alternate reality.  Out in the Nat'l Forests 30-40,000 activists, college kids, street kids, world travelers, musicians, and every religious sect imaginable from Buddhists to cults to Christians, meet to create a
  • perfect world
  • for a couple weeks out of the year.  Because these people are passionate about world peace and finding meaning in life, most are receptive to any kind of spiritual ideas.  As believers we just want to set up an environment where people feel welcome to sit, have something to eat, listen to some music, or find refuge from all the activity.  That's where we can open up about our lives and have true conversations and begin relationships.
    .
  •     Seventh Stop: Boulder, CO July 8th
We will leave the National Rainbow Gathering and caravan to Boulder, CO for another free music festival . . . here we come!

  •     Eighth Stop: Telluride, CO August 25-27
We will gather in the beautiful canyon town of Telluride for a multi-cultural day of music.  Dancers and musicians from around the globe will be demonstrating their own unique styles at this celebration.

    More Dates to be Announced
This schedule is still in the works and there is room for more.  If you have the desire to host an event in your town please feel free to contact us.

    Disclaimer and Warning
Check out the websites for the secular events we are attending: Wakarusa and the Rainbow Gathering, as we want everyone to be prepared and well informed.  Use discretion as far as children, new believers and recovering addicts are concerned.

The Colorado National Rainbow Gathering is a New Age event which will be in a National Forest somewhere in Colorado this year.  Don't be surprised at the amount of drugs, alcohol and even nudity out there!  Please check out www.welcomhere.org or www.welcomehhome.org for more details about what you will be getting into.  By the way, we won't find out the exact location until a few weeks before.

Wakarusa is a 4-day campout music festival outside Lawrence, Kansas.  This festival is known to bring in jam-bands like Widespread Panic, String Cheese, and the Dead.  We are going into this event to let our lights shine.  Again, there will be a lot of drugs and alcohol at this event.  To find out more go to www.WakarusaFestival.com

    Getting Involved/Volunteers
There are so many ways you can be involved in the
  • Miracle Mystery Tour
  • .  So what if you don't play music or have the know-how to plan an event, your talents and ideas are vitally important!  We're calling on

  •     those interested in giving art demonstrations or teaching workshops
  •     videographers and photographers

  •     those with access to mobile staging
  •     mechanic to come on the road
  •     an army of volunteers to hang up flyers and help with the nitty-gritty of set-up and clean-up!  In past years, we have found that the volunteers work the hardest, but tend to have the most fun!

    Prayer/Need List
We've got a big ol' list of things that we need (either as gifts, discounted or on loan).
  •     Promotion through radio stations, newspapers, hanging up and handing out flyers, press releases, etc.  The more finances we raise the better we can get the word out.

    Hey Bands, Musicians and Artists!!!
There is a renaissance among Christian artists who want to make an impact on the world for Jesus.  So, if you would like to use your gifts to touch the masses, you could be an essential part of this endeavor.  We not only want to collaborate with musicians for the stage, but also for street ministry and small group worship time.

Ideally, this tour is not supposed to be about the bands or being a star, but about lifting up the name of Jesus.  All of our events are free, and are not being promoted as Christian events, nor are the names of the bands being used in the ads.  This is not to be an insult, but an act of worship as a
  • nameless, faceless generation
  • .  Everyone playing and speaking knows the Lord, and considers this tour as a mission trip.
Be assured there will be lots of chances to sell CDs or merchandise, and to make connections with other ministries and venues. Still interested?  Contact us or send a demo to 549 25th Rd Clifton, KS 66937!

    Operations
  • Nuts and Bolts

  • The events will go smoothly if we have some capable individuals as well as a host of ready and willing volunteers.  Kingdom Promotions will be putting together the core team from gifted individuals in the community as well as our team that will be on the road with us.

    Training
We will meet prior to the event for a night of prayer, worship and training to get people ready.

    Follow-up
We will use a couple of avenues to try and get people plugged into the local body.  We will have a list of churches in the prayer tent and post their names on our web site under the Little Black Book.  We will also take peoples contact information so we can have a team of people get in touch with them.

    Volunteer Teams
Coordinators are needed for the volunteer teams.
  •     Food/Vending
We need someone to contact and organize food vendors and restaurants who want to sell their goodies.  We will require at least a 10% donation of their gross sales.
Also, this team can get churches or youth groups involved
  • bake sale
  • style.

  •     Prayer/Counseling Tent
A coordinator for the prayer tent will be necessary to organize the prayer teams into shifts, making sure there are always
  • warriors
  • present, especially after speakers and worship times, when the crowd will be reminded to go and receive prayer.

  •     Technical Crew  stage, sound, lights and video production

  •     Fundraising
To pull this tour off we are trying to raise $100,000 total, that averages $7- $10,000 (per city), which is cheap for a music event.

The fundraising team can arrange to connect with the local church, businesses and artists to share the vision with them and ask for donations.  They can also be responsible to come up and execute some creative ideas, like a silent auction, car wash, rummage sale, etc.

As a bonus, any group that financially backs our tour we will be posted in
  • the Little Black Book
  • business/ministry directory on our website.

Refer people to our website with any questions, www.KingdomPromotions.org.  Checks can be made out to Kingdom Promotions, which is tax deductible.

     Conference Calls and Meetings
Conference calls, where we can host 400 people on the phone at one time, will be a good time to hear more of the heartbeat of the tour.  There will be time for testimonies from the road as well as plans for the next stop.

    Come Along for the Ride
YES, you can!  Maybe you've gone on the road before; maybe you've never left your own back yard.  Either way, we'd love to have you come along.

If you decide to join the caravan . . . buckle up for one wild ride with frequent stops and layovers!  We'll be heading trough bustling cities and rural towns, national forests and tourist traps, truck stops and coffee shops.  Hey, half the fun is
  • getting there
  • !

    During
  • down times
  • we will focus on getting to know each other and cultivating friendships.  It will be a priority to meet together, whether for meals, worship, communion, or a heart-to-heart message from a fellow traveler.  There will be times when we need
  • all hands on deck
  • to pull an event together, clean up camp, or cook meals, and there will also be times when there will be a lot of freedom for sight-seeing and personal/family time.  We will be staying overnight in a variety of places, from churches to campgrounds to Wal-mart parking lots!  Really, the key to having a good time is to remain flexible and hold on to that sense of adventure!

No doubt, the leadership will be comprised of many leaders.  Bringing together so many different types of people and groups brings up a lot of questions.  How are we all going to function together?  Love, joy and a
  • short list
  • will go a long way!

All ministries involved will remain autonomous, yet work together.  Each group, ministry or individual needs to be self-sufficient and responsible for their own gas, food, supplies and even the occasional break-down.

If you're interested come to one of our shows and visit the info tent or, better yet, contact me, Joshua Hanson, with Kingdom Promotions at 785-455-3351, or email me at KingdomPromo@hotmail.com ahead of time for more details.  We'd like to meet you and get a better feel for who you are.

What will I need to bring with me (if you want to JOIN the tour)?
    Open heart
Your own transportation (and paint it up wild and crazy if you dare).
    Drum, if you have one
    Tent
    Sleeping bag
    Camping Gear
    Gas and food money

    The World is Watching (Filming)
With the hopes of creating a documentary/reality show, we will film this summer's trip.  Don't worry, we're not aiming to be invasive, but just capture the miraculous, outlandish and interesting things that are happening.
